Ruth C. Fretts, MD, MPH, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever in the field of Medicine as OB/GYN at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates Wellesley.
Board certified in 1987 by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and re-certified in 1994, Dr. Fretts boasts over 27 years of experience in her field. Serving the last 19 years in her current location, Dr. Fretts cares for her patients in all general OB/GYN services and specializes in stillbirth and menopause. A leader in her field, Dr. Frett’s research has focused on fetal movement and the prevention of still birth. Published in esteemed medical journals, her work has been cited by numerous medical professionals.
Beginning her medical career as a student at Queens University in Canada, Dr. Fretts earned a Doctorate of Medicine in 1987. She went on to complete both her internship and fellowship at McGill University in Montreal. Dr. Fretts also holds a Master of Science from the University of Ottawa.
To remain abreast of the changes in the OB/GYN field, Dr. Fretts is a chairperson for the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the Committee on Patient Safety and Quality Improvement, “Healthy Birthday”, and Massachusetts Medical Security.
In her free time, Dr. Fretts enjoys walking, reading, photography and her dogs. She engages in volunteer activities and is charitable towards the Alzheimer’s Association.
Dr. Fretts is married to her husband, Ralph A. Kelly, MD; she would like to dedicate this recognition to him for his continual love and support.
