Kathy S. Hudgins is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as Nurse of the Year for her excellent service at University Hospital.
Ms. Hudgins is renowned for providing outstanding cardiac nursing and acute care. She has over twenty-five years of experience in the nursing field and has served eighteen years at University Hospital. Her medical career began in coding and progressed to a long term care facility doing acute care. She fell in love with this position and never looked back. As to what she attributes her success to, Ms. Hudgins states, “What separates me from others in the field is my level of experience.”
Throughout her education and training, Ms. Hudgins received an associate’s degree in business and became a Registered Nurse after completing her education at Lorain County Community College.
In her free time, Ms. Hudgins enjoys rooting for the Cleveland Browns and traveling, especially to Aruba.
Ms. Hudgins dedicates this recognition to “my charge nurse, Susan Markland, RN who took me under her wing.” She also dedicates this to, “Dorothy Porto, RN who taught me the ropes.”
