Sean D. Adrean, MD, FAAO

Sean D. Adrean, MD, FAAO, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever in the field of Medicine as an Ophthalmologist at his private practice.

Located at 301 West Bastanchury Road near Laguna Road School Park, the private office of Dr. Adrean provides expert ophthalmological services to northern Orange County. Dr. Adrean specializes in all retina diseases, macular degeneration, detachment, diabetic retinopathy, and ocular surgery.

Supported by nineteen years of excellence, Dr. Adrean is one of the top ophthalmologists in Orange County. He has worked at his private practice for over thirteen years. He is affiliated with St. Jude Medical Center, Anaheim Regional Medical Center, PIH Health Hospital-Whittier, Los Alamitos Medical Center, and St. Mary Medical Center. Devoted to quality care, he is involved in numerous clinical trials including (PI) Gemini, Protocol GENH-001 and (PI) Roche, Protocol GR40548 (Archway), Phase III.

In recognition of academic success, Dr. Adrean first attended the University of California at San Diego where he earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry/biochemistry and a minor in biology. For graduate studies, he attended Loma Linda University School of Public Health, earning a Doctorate of Medicine. Following graduation, he completed an internal medicine internship at Loma Linda University and passed the ophthalmological written boards for his medical license in the 99th percentile. He then completed an ophthalmological residency at the University of California at Davis and a retina fellowship at Kresge Eye Institute.

A leader in his field, Dr. Adrean is a member of several prestigious organizations, including the American Society of Retina Specialists, California Medical Association; California Eye Institute, and Orange County Society of Ophthalmology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

On account of Dr. Adrean’s success, he has received many honors and awards such as Top Doctors by Orange County in 2016 and San Diego Supercomputer Scholarship Recipient by the University of California at San Diego in 1996.

In Dr. Adrean’s free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Mrs. Quynh Adrean, Pharm.D. Devoted to his community, he volunteers at free clinics and is charitable to youth soccer groups and Boy Scouts of America.
