Mark A. O’Banion, D.M.D., is being recognized as a Top Endodontist in the field of Medicine and acknowledgment for his role at Capital Endodontics.

Led by respected endodontic specialist Dr. O’Banion, Capital Endodontics offers expert professional care in two of their state of the art facilities in Dublin and Lexington, Ohio. With an overall 15-year specialty experience, both locations provide a wide array of endodontic procedures including, root canal therapy, endodontic retreatment, cracked teeth, apicoectomy, general anesthesia, and more.

An acclaimed endodontist, Dr. O’Banion has devoted serving patients at Capital Endodontics for 19 years. He specializes in utilizing microscopes, rotary files, and laser for the cleaning of the inside of the patient’s teeth, as well as the CBCT 3d Xray.

Dr. O’Banion continuously strives to learn the newest techniques to provide the highest standard of professional care.

Dr. O’Banion graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southern Illinois School of Dental Medicine in 1998, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine and was valedictorian. Furthering his studies, he received a General Practice Residency Certificate from the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio in 1999 and his Endodontic Certificate from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2001.

A frontrunner in his field, Dr. O’Banion has maintained active memberships with the American Association of Endodontics, Illinois Endodontic Association, and Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club. He has been a tutor for clinical and didactic dental courses demonstrating his innate ability to teach and share his expertise.

In recognition of his educational and professional successes, Dr. O’Banion is a recipient of several awards throughout his career. For graduates with the highest class rank, he received the Student Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity Award. Additionally, he received the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Award four consecutive years, Periodontal Surgery Award, ICOI Pre-Doctoral Implant achievEment award, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society Award, Paul W. Clopper Memorial Foundation and Illinois Hospital Scholarship awards.
