Joseph S. Savitt, MD, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever in the field of medicine as a Pediatrician with Sunshine Children’s Home & Rehabilitation Center.
Sunshine Children’s Home & Rehabilitation Center houses and treats children from childbirth to the age of 18 who need post-acute medical care or continued rehabilitation. Using both psychological and developmental interventions Sunshine Children’s Home & Rehabilitation Center is committed to comprehensive care that includes the family dynamic with an understanding that compassion and family is the primary source of strength in a child.
Dr. Joseph Savitt is a Board Certified Pediatrician since 1991, specializes in the post-acute medical care for special needs children who are residents of Sunshine Children’s Home & Rehabilitation Center. Residents of SCHRC require care such as Infusion Therapy and Central Line Care, Feeding disorders/ feeding therapy, Pre-transplant/post-transplant care, Tracheostomy Care and Oxygen Dependency, Ventilator Dependency, and Traumatic Brain Injury/Coma Recovery.
A SUNY Downstate medical school Graduate, Dr. Savitt attended a residency with North Shore and was invited to stay for a Fellowship for one year for Gastrointestinal Training. Today, Dr. Savitt has been honored as the Top Distinguished Teacher for St. Vincents.
