Sherif Elasyouty, MD, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Top Psychiatrist in the field of Psychiatry in acknowledgment for his outstanding contributions with his private practice.

Leading an impressive career for 19 years, Dr. Elasyouty has garnered a laudable reputation in the world of medicine and psychiatry. For the past 17 years, he has continued to see patients at his private practice at 3 West Carrillo Street. He treats patients with Psychiatric, Chemical Dependency, and Chronic Pain conditions and is also licensed to prescribe Suboxone and is able to administer Vivitrol.

Alongside his role at his private practice, Dr. Elasyouty also serves as the co- medical director of Recovery Road Medical Center in Santa Barbara with Dr. Joseph Frawley. There he is committed to providing the highest quality treatment for patients with alcohol and drug addiction, mental health disorders, and/or chronic pain in an outpatient setting.

Dr. Elasyouty began his acclaimed medical career as a resident in General and Neuro Surgery where he gained extensive medical and surgical experience. Soon thereafter, he pursued Psychiatry and joined the program at the University of Louisville, KY, where he

completed his training in General Psychiatry. He then went to the University of Vanderbilt for additional training in Addiction Psychiatry. There he trained under a nationally recognized physician in the field of addiction, Dr. Andy Spickard, III. Dr. Elasyouty practiced in Kentucky as a staff psychiatrist in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He last served in Kentucky as the Medical Director of the West Lake Behavioral Health Program.

As a testament to his success, Dr. Elasyouty has been the recipient of many awards and accolades throughout his career. He was a winner of the Patients’ Choice Award in 2008, 2013, 2015, 2018, 2019 and 2020. Dr. Elasyouty is also certified by the American Board of Psychiatrists.
