Christine E. Myers, LPC, LCDC, MAC, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Top Counselor for her exceptional contributions in the field of Addiction Counseling and her professional excellence with Warriors Heart.
Proudly serving the San Antonio, TX communities, Warriors Heart is a privately funded treatment center where active military, veterans, firefighters, police, EMTs, and active members from across the United States that belong to organizations that protect and serve the citizens of the United States are treated. The center is devoted to assisting in the funding of warriors who don’t have insurance or need assistance in the costs of all treatments. Treatment is offered to adult men and women 18 and older who are seeking inpatient treatment for chemical dependency, alcohol abuse, and co-occurring psychological disorders relating to PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) or the psychological effects of MTBI (mild traumatic brain injury).
As a distinguished professional counselor, Ms. Meyers has devoted the past 10 years as a counselor with the Palmer Drug Abuse Program through Warriors Heart. She demonstrates the highest level of professionalism, compassion, and integrity as she works with clients dealing with mental health disorders, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, and substance abuse. Prior to her current role, Ms. Myers was a restorative biblical counselor for Mustard Seed Ministries Biblical Counseling from 2012 to 2013. She also served as a program manager at the Fairweather Lodge for San Antonio Urban Ministries/Family Endeavors from 2007 to 2009, as well as a life skills counselor at the Texas Adolescent Treatment Center in 2007.
In light of her academic achievements, Ms. Meyers completed her undergraduate studies with an Associate of Arts in Personnel Management from the Community College of the Air Force in 1990, as well as an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts from Alan Hancock College in 1993. He then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Liberty University and an Operational Certificate in Counseling from the Institute of Chemical Dependency Studies of San Antonio in 2010. Furthering her training, she earned her Masters of Arts in Counseling from Liberty University in 2014. She also received a Master of Science in Social Work from Walden University. Since then, Ms. Meyers has maintained an active affiliation with the American Association of Christian Counselors.
As a testament to her success, Ms. Meyers received myriad accolades throughout her career. In 2011, she was honorably named Most Valuable Teacher at the George Gervin Academy by the Teachers Education Agency. She also earned a national award for mental health and wellness in 2009 and an Outcomes Award from the Coalition for Community Living, Inc. in 2008.
