Renowned Neuro-Ophthalmologist, Dr. Kenneth Houchin has devoted the past three years offering superior eye care in the Clark and Elko counties. He provides a wide variety of services tailored to strengthening and improving your eyesight, operating out of two locations. The Las Vegas Valley Eye Center is situated at 7530 West Sahara Suite 101, and the Elko Eye Center is located in Elko, Nevada at 875 14th St. Revered as an expert in his field, Dr. Houchin has garnered more than 30 years of vast knowledge and professional experience in his field. As one out of only 500 in the country, he specializes in the evaluation and treatment of the entire facial system, eye and brain, double vision, loss of peripheral vision, brain tumors, multiple sclerosis, and optical nerve diseases. In his current capacity, he skillfully addresses any neurologic eye problems caused by brain tumors, multiple sclerosis, and strokes to help you effectively manage these conditions.

An academic scholar, Dr. Houchin received his Medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1985, where he served as an intern of internal medicine, participating in two separate residencies for neurology and ophthalmology. Thereafter, he flourished in various prestigious positions in the Neuro-Ophthalmology department at his alma mater and practiced Neuro-Ophthalmology and Oculoplastic Surgery.

To stay up-to-date with the latest industry advancements, Dr. Houchin is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, and the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society. To share his breadth of expertise, he is a seasoned lecturer at Loma Linda University and has contributed to various scientific publications and presentations on a regional and national level.

In his spare time, Dr. Houchin enjoys nature photography. As a recognized nature photographer, his work has been well received by the NBC Network Today show, Hallmark Cards, Inc., and Southwestern Bell Telephone Company Publications. Additionally, he has also contributed pieces on many television programs, magazines, posters, and postcards.
