Board-certified family physician, Dr. Walk has garnered 52 years of expert knowledge and professional experience in family medicine. Specializing in nutrition and wellness, she has devoted the past 10 years as owner of her private practice, Faith Family Clinic, where she is committed to providing medical services to the local communities. She also focuses on esthetic procedures for young women, including skin care, Botox, and lesion removal. With a compassionate heart, Dr. Walk continuously makes a difference all around the world though her success to her faith, perseverance, strength and her passion for helping people.
To prepare for her career, Dr. Walk completed her undergraduate studies with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from Dana College in Blair, Nebraska. Soon thereafter, she went on to the University of Nebraska Medical School where she obtained her Medical degree. Subsequently, she completed an Internship at Emmanuel Lutheran Hospital in Omaha and a Fellowship in Obstetrics from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She also obtained status as a Doctor of Theology with the University of Nigeria, Golden Gate University, and Trinity College of the Ministerial Arts, Nigeria.
A front runner in her field, Dr. Walk has remained abreast of the latest developments through active memberships and affiliations such as the Nebraska Academy of Family Practice. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice and board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Renowned for her civic contributions, Dr. Walk is active in the Republican Party of Nebraska, participating on several boards and committees. In recognition of her contributions, she is the recipient of the Order of Merit from the Nebraska Republican Party. A philanthropic spirit, she also operates her own personal ministry, Hope International Services, where she has built schools, orphanages, and churches in Malawi, Pakistan, and Russia. She’s also conducted international radio ministry events and lectures on third world health care needs. In Bangladesh, she built and operated a 100 bed hospital and she has a primary school in Pakistan for children who live in the ghettos. Early in her career she worked with Lutheran World Relief and practiced medicine in Nigeria during the Biafran War. A respected voice in her field, Dr. Walk has authored two books, and her poetry has been published in eight books. She has also published articles in many magazines.
In light of her professional achievements, Dr. Walk has been recognized worldwide for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the healthcare profession as well for her philanthropic spirit. She has received many awards, accolades’ and has been featured in numerous publications and magazines. Dr. Walk has been honored with the Humanitarian Award by the American Academy of Family Practice and was a two-time recipient of America’s Top Family Doctors award. She was named “Nebraska Family Physician of the Year” and selected as Outstanding Professional of the Year.
Dr. Walk dedicates this recognition in the memory of her parents, Arnold and Leona Anderson, as well as in the memory of Dr. Marie Tucker. She has been married to Louis Walk, MD for 14 years.
