Tim Carpenter

A dedicated professional known for his outstanding work in Recruiting, Staffing, Team Building and providing the most talented resources for the Energy Sector.

The epitome of discipline and hard work is the best way to describe Tim Carpenter...

A self-motivated professional at all times, Tim was taught early on the value of hard work and the love of learning. From his early days of becoming a National Championship Wrestler, to his entry into the United States Marine Corps, Tim became a “sponge”, absorbing and learning as much as possible to prepare for his future.

Tim’s father, also an entrepreneur and Tim’s greatest professional inspiration, was a tremendous support, teaching lessons of never give up, and always striving to be your best. These lessons helped shape Tim into the person he is today.

Gulf Coast Head Huntersis the result of Tim Carpenter’s passion and self-discipline. Developed in 2009, GCHH is dedicated to providing the most talented resources in the energy sector that meet the clients needs in this demanding market. Services provided include Direct Placements, Contract Staffing, Recruiting Consulting, and Team Building/Evaluation. As the owner and CEO, Tim is a hands-on team leader whose natural likeability and strong interpersonal skills enable an ease to communicate. He has an unsurpassed work ethic and develops an initial platform based on his ideologies, a formula for success he labels as the “5 Ds”: Define, Develop, Deploy, Direct, and Document. This platform is used as a training tool for new employees, as well as a base structure from which the company is managed and operated. Not only does Tim train and mentor his recruiters, he is active in finding new clients and helps with business development, always strategically planning how to grow the company effectively and efficiently.

Tim’s success did not come easy, as is true for most young people entering the workforce. After serving five years in the USMC, he moved back to his home state of Washington and was introduced to the oil and gas industry, working at multiple refineries and offshore rigs. Tim quickly became a foreman and project coordinator for independent contractors of major oil refineries in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and California, hired to assemble teams that plan, schedule and perform interval and specialized maintenance.

When not working his usual 14-16 hour days,  Tim manages to squeeze in time for travel. An avid scuba diver, his favorite dive spot is Ambergris Caye, Belize. He also golfs, mountain bikes and loves to camp. Tim’s professional involvement includes the ISA, OTC, Deepwater conferences, as well as sponsorship of local fundraising events including the Boy Scouts of America and Wounded Warriors.

These experiences led to a successful career in recruiting for firms such as Maverick Technologies, Team Trident, Timec, Richard, Wayne & Roberts, Cimation, and eventually, his own company.  With 20 years in the industry, the energy sector is still booming with endless possibilities for growth and new innovation, a fascinating and challenging opportunity that keeps Tim and GCHH going. The greatest challenge, though, is establishing new relationships with clients and providing them with the best resources in the industry — something GCHH backs with a six-month guarantee!
