Gunnar Sevelius, MD

Gunnar Sevelius, M.D. is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the  field of Medicine as a result of his dual role as both  Physician and Author. Dr. Sevelius received his medical degree from Karolinska  Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. His medical career began with a Cardiovascular Fellowship as a research scientist for the University of Oklahoma Medical School and the Federal Aviation Agency. Dr. Sevelius later joined the National  Aviation and Space Agency and Lockheed Missile and Space Company as their Medical Director with the broad responsibilities for employee health and wellness. In his retirement, Dr. Sevelius has nurtured his interests in global peace and international politics. As a native of war neutral Sweden, his vast life experiences have given him unique insights in human rights and social history. As a  result of his additional studies in anthropology, Dr. Sevelius has authored the Nine Pillars of History.

Dr. Sevelius has also authored Add Years to Your Life and Life to Your Years, You Are It: First Aid; and An Untold Medical Story.  The Nine Pillars of Historywas inspired by Dr. Sevelius’  discovery of nine common denominators throughout his analysis of over 200,000 years of history of both humanity and religion. The nine pillars are 1: Food, Water, Air, Energy, and Sex, 2: Shelter, 3: Cleanliness, 4: Art, 5: Communication, 6: Community Support, 7: Religion, 8; Medical Care, and lastly, number 9 is Trade. These nine denominators form imperative hypotheses for their anthropological scope and prompt social relevance in our society.

 

In his latest book, Add Years to Your Life and Life to Your Years, Dr. Sevelius focuses on teaching his readers solutions on controlling their weight, cholesterol, stress, and high blood pressure; as well as the benefits of exercise and overall well-being. With his extensive background in medicine, Dr. Sevelius shares his knowledge and experiences to help those in need seek longevity and prime health. An expert in the field, he has conducted various research experiments on aspects including fatigue, stress and aging, and has also collaborated with the Stanford Research Institute in the development of a unique health education program.
