Karen A. Hess is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Legal Services as a result of her role as Office Management and Personnel Coordinator with Peckar and Abramson, P.C. Peckar and Abramson, P.C. has been delivering top notch legal services since 1978. Now, with nine offices nationwide and almost 100 attorneys on staff, Peckar and Abramson have increased their presence throughout the United States, as well as internationally. Their domestic offices are located in New Jersey, New York, Washington, D.C., Pennsylvania, Florida, Georgia, Illinois and California.
In her current capacity, Karen is a seasoned Senior Human Resources professional who has been working at Peckar and Abramson for over two decades. Her responsibilities include aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units, serving as a consultant to management on Human Resource related issues, and being a successful change agent. She proactively assesses and anticipates HR-related needs, and communicates those needs to management and fellow business unit leaders to develop integrated solutions.
She has successfully formulated partnerships across all HR functions to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the firm. Concentration on employee relations, compliance and team-building are the cornerstones of her success. Karen also maintains affiliation with professional organizations such as the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Association of Legal Administrators (ALA), and the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW), where she was honored with their title Woman of The Year for 2012-2013. Furthermore, Karen is passionate about and active in charities such as National Down Syndrome Society, Autism Speaks, Tomorrows Children's Fund, Wounded Warrior Project and the Mahwah Environmental Volunteers Organization.
Throughout the course of her studies, Karen received her degree in Human Services Management from the University of Phoenix, and continues to participate in HR-related coursework to not only improve her knowledge, skills and abilities, but enhance her professional development.
