Ann Wilcox Seidman, Ph.D., is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Higher Education as a result of her role as a Professor (Retired) at Boston University School of Law.
Founded in 1872, Boston University School of Law offers first class law education taught by accredited professors with national recognition and a vast knowledge of the legal system. Offering a full-time J.D. degree program, 200 LL.M degree programs, and 16 dual degree programs, students are able to acquire knowledge of the law among 200 of the University’s seminars and classes. Despite retiring in 2013, Ann and her husband, Robert continue to stay active in law and international affairs. Together, they maintain affiliation with the International Consortium for Law and Development, where Ann is the Co-President.
The couple strives to create an international distance course on the use of law for both social and democratic change and development. Currently, Ann and Robert engage in pro bono work with the American Bar Association and the United Nations Development Program to create up to date laws to improve Fiji's mining industry's role within its national development. With her expertise primarily in the areas of law, economics, public policy, analysis, and teaching, Ann has taught at several universities and has written, co-written and published over a hundred articles and books throughout the course of her illustrious career. In addition, she is the Co-Director of the Boston University Program on Legislative Drafting for Democratic Social Change, and is a member of the American Association of University Professors and the American Economic Association. In her spare time, Ann enjoys sailing. Moreover, Ann earned her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin, and holds a Master of Science in Economics from Columbia University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Smith College, where she graduated with Honors.
