CPE is a multi-faith, inter-faith training program in Chaplaincy for those seeking Board Certification in professional Chaplaincy, who are required CPE for ordination and faith leaders seeking skills and theory in chaplaincy and spiritual care. With over three decades of hands on experience, Susan works closely in the areas of ministry, coaching professional/career and personal development, pastoral care especially in areas of grief and loss, trauma, end of life care, spiritual/faith counseling, grant writing, student recruitment for those seeking a career in chaplaincy, women’s concerns and issues, teaching, leadership and more. The recipient of the National Association of Professional Women’s VIP Woman of the Year “… for outstanding excellence and dedication to her profession and the Achievement of Women”, Susan dedicates her spare time to working with Gold Star Mothers, an organization that offers support services for mothers who lost sons or daughters during war.

She is a Gold Star mother herself; Susan and her husband of thirty-seven years lost their only child, Pfc. Keith Jesse Moore while he was serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq in 2006. She is continues to “foster” children through Children International and supports several Veterans organizations and environmental efforts for a cleaner and healthier world. Throughout the course of her professional career, she was the Founding Director of a nonprofit ministry to those affected by AIDS in San Francisco called Living Waters HIV Ministry, where Susan provided care as a minister to individuals, their loved ones, extended families and other caregivers. She also provided counseling to victims of violence and worked with the homeless through the SF Interfaith Council of Churches. In addition to her pastoral services, Susan is also involved in film development. Her most recent film, "Broken Hearts Lifted Spirits: Mothers of the Fallen Speak Their Truth" is about mothers who have lost children in the OEF/OIF wars.

She uses this as an educational and training resource complete with a teacher’s manual to teach individuals how to be an effective presence for those who have suffered trauma and loss. One of her spiritual practices is watercolor painting. She has shown and sold several of her paintings. She hopes her paintings will bring peace and inspiration in a world filled with too much “suffering and violence.” Furthermore, Susan holds two Master’s Degrees. She received her Master of Science in Education/Counseling from Suffolk University, two years post graduate training Family Systems Therapy, earned a certification in social work, as well as a second Master of Divinity from the Swedenborg House of Studies now at the Pacific School of Religion.
