Eureka C. Daye

 Eureka C. Daye, Ph.D., MPH, MA, CCHP, is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Healthcare.

Dr. Daye is the Regional Healthcare Executive and Director of Women’s Health with the California Correctional Healthcare Services. (CCHCS). In order to provide constitutionally adequate medical care and rehabilitation services to patient-inmates within the California Department of Corrections, the CCHCS strives to reduce unnecessary morbidity and mortality to protect public health by offering patient-inmates access to safe, efficient medical care. Dr. Daye has twenty five combined years of experience in leadership positions in the academia, healthcare, and behavioral health arenas. She holds multiple clinical licenses in Mental Health, and is certified in Correctional Healthcare. In her current capacity, Dr. Daye’s areas of concentration include continuous quality improvement, access to care, integrated forensic healthcare, forensic behavioral health, disease management, public health, women's health, patient –centered primary care, high risk and chronic healthcare conditions. Furthermore, Dr. Daye maintains affiliation with the American Association for Quality, American Public Health Association, National Association of Professional Women and the Delta Sigma Theta Alumni Association.

 

She is a past Board Member of the Young Women's Christian Association, Chair of the Women’s Health Advocacy Program and a past Board Member of United Way as well. To date, one of Dr. Daye’s biggest career accomplishments was being appointed to the Chancellor's Commissions on the Status of People of Color and the Status of Women. Awarded VIP Woman of the Year by NAPW, Dr. Daye enjoys biking, walking, ministry and volunteering for her sorority in her spare time. She received both her Ph.D. and MPH in Public Health from Walden University, a Master of Arts in Psychology from the University of San Francisco, and a BA in Psychology from Pepperdine University.
