Dr. Anna W. Topol

 Dr. Anna W. Topol, Ph.D., C.T.O., is recognized by Continental Who’s Who in the field of Information Technology as result of her current role as Chief Technology Officer for Distribution Sector at IBM and her scientific achievements.

She is an IBM Master Inventor and member of IBM Academy of Science. She has over 70 publications and 36 issued patents. As Chief Technology Officer, Anna’s expertise is in the areas of IT strategy, program management, cloud computing, industry solutions, technical leadership as well as business development and intellectual property. She is known for her problem solving and public speaking skills. She has over fifteen years of experience in the IT industry and works with clients in Distribution (Retail, Consumer Products, Travel and Transportation) and Communications (Energy and Utilities, Telco, Media and Entertainment) sectors. Anna is a member of the National Association of Professional Women and was recognized as NAPW VIP Woman of the Year. In addition, Anna maintains affiliation with IEEE, SWE, and Leaders in Energy Research, Communications, Policies and Analysts communities.

She focuses on mentoring and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) activities to coach new generation of technology specialists. Aside from the demands of work, she enjoys volleyball, reading and spending time with family. Throughout the duration of her education and training, Anna obtained her Ph.D. and Master of Science in Physics Degrees from SUNY Albany, the State University of New York. She also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with specialization in Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
