 Kathleen Kenney Lucente has been recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of communications as a result of her success as President and Founder of Red Fan Communications, an Austin-based full-service public relations firm.

With more than 25 years of industry experience, Lucente has held public relations positions at Ketchum Public Relations, PepperCom and Cunningham Communications Inc. Her corporate tenure includes positions as JPMorganChase’s vice president and director of corporate marketing and communications for Asia Pacific and manager of public relations for IBM Research Worldwide. She has worked closely in the areas of corporate communications, consulting, media relations, public relations, reputation management, crisis communications, marketing and brand management.

 At Red Fan Communications, Lucente and her team have helped bring Q2, a leading provider of virtual banking software, go public on the New York Stock Exchange; positioned the Austin Trail of Lights as a national attraction while maintaining its Austin roots; repositioned client brands including Wayward Chocolat, Skoop and ATLAS Wearables; and helped nonprofits like Komen Austin and Austin Gives increase their presence in the Austin community. In the past, Lucente has been recognized in the Austin community in many ways, including as the Austin Chamber of Commerce’s Volunteer of the Year and the ‘The Mortar Board Society of Honor Students’ Preferred Professor Award at The University of Texas at Austin. Lucente is an active member of the Austin Chamber of Commerce, an executive council member of Austin Gives and a board member and affiliate with Susan G. Komen in Austin. Lucente has also served as a lecturer at The University of Texas at Austin, where she taught courses on corporate and crisis communications. Lucente earned her master's degree in English from Boston College in addition to her bachelor’s degree in English from St. Michaels College. Outside of work, Lucente enjoys culinary events, fine wine and music.
