Connie A. Newman

Connie A. Newman, M.Ed., BA, is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Education as a result of her role as Superintendent of the Pribilof School District. Devoted to providing the highest quality education for each student, the Pribilof School District coordinates and helps develop curriculum and procedures to ensure academic and personal achievement. By encouraging each individual early to be curious, enthusiastic and self-motivated learners build a foundation for both future academic success in their villages and in the larger state, nation and global communities. Proven excellence in academic administration and improving student achievement as a district administrator for often remote districts, Ms. Newman is a collaborative leader with exceptional skills in strategic planning and implementation, communication and consensus-building by listening to board members, staff, and community partners while delivering honest, straightforward communication.

 Throughout the course of her illustrious career, Connie has received multiple commendations and awards. She was given an Appreciation Award from FFA, an Outstanding Administrator Award through MAAE and a special Thank You from Boys and Girls Club. This in addition to numerous certificates from student and parent groups as well as recognition from the Puget Sound Educational Service District, Pelican City School District and the National Academy for School Executives. Moreover, Connie earned her Master of Education in Educational Leadership in Technology from the University of Alaska Southeast at Juneau as well as an M. Ed., in Educational Leadership from the University of Montana along with her undergraduate degree from Eastern Washington University.

 

Outside of school, Connie enjoys reading, gardening and spending time with her pets. She is active within her church and is a supporter of Catholic Services to help those in need. In addition, Connie is a contributor to St. Labre Catholic School, located on an Indian Reservation in Montana, and donates charity to organizations such as HSUS and the World Wildlife Fund among others.
