Michele A. Whitham, Esq.

Michele A. Whitham, Esq., is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Law as a result of her role as Partnerlevel attorney with Foley Hoag LLP (including serving as the firm’s Co-Managing Partner from 2001-2008). Established in 1943, Foley Hoag is a full service law firm with offices in Boston, New York, Washington DC and Paris, France. Devoted to providing clients’ first class legal services and to preserving the highest level of professionalism, Foley Hoag is also home to a pro bono program independently ranked in the country’s top one percent of such programs.

A seasoned attorney with over twenty-five years of experience, Michele’s areas of focus include: litigation, data privacy and security, and employment (including discrimination, harassment, policy design, strategic business development and personnel management). An AV Preeminent rated attorney through Martindale Hubbell, Michele was recognized by the National Association of Professional Women as a VIP Woman of the Year for her top tier legal service.

 

To keep up with the latest in the industry, Michele maintains affiliation with the American Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, Advanced Cyber Security Center (which she served from the outset as outside counsel), the International and Massachusetts Women’s Forum, and the President’s Council of Cornell Women. She has also served as a Director on many boards and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Wentworth Institute of Technology. Michele is a graduate of Cornell University, having earned from Cornell her Juris Doctor (Order of The Coif), M.S. in Human Development, M.A.T. in Education and Bachelor’s degree (Cum Laude). Before engaging in the practice of law, Michele was a member from 1976-1988 of the faculty of Cornell University’s Center for Field and International Study, which position she left to practice law.
