Laura R. Slap-Shelton, Psy.D., is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Mental Health. Dr. Slap-Shelton is a Psychologist in Private Practice. A revered Diplomate of the American Board of Disability Analysts, Dr. Slap-Shelton possesses over 27 years of experience. With her expertise in clinical psychology and neuropsychology, she works with adolescents and adults with all developmental, emotional and neurological issues. In addition to her practice, Dr. Slap-Shelton is a speaker as participant of the Dana Foundation’s Brain Awareness Weekhaving previously spoken at Soaring Spirits International Camp Widow programs. The author of “Melissa’s Magic Ride,” Dr. Slap-Shelton has written several professional articles and children’s books throughout the course of her distinguished career. To keep up with the latest in the industry, Dr. Slap-Shelton remains an active member of the American Psychological Association and National Academy of Neuropsychology. She is on the Advisory Board of Paris Press and is Editor of The Maine Psychological Association Newsletter, The Maine Psychologist. Dr. Slap-Shelton maintains affiliations with Camp Widow programs as well as Guild for Service in India, an organization to help children cope with grief and bereavement. Following receipt of her Bachelor’s degree from Clark University, Dr. Slap-Shelton went on to pursue her Doctor of Psychology degree at Hahnemann University.
