Cindy S. Caldwell

 Cindy S. Caldwell is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Higher Education. Cindy is a Professor of Mathematics at Rend Lake College.

Catering to local residents, Rend Lake College was initially founded in 1955 as Mt. Vernon Community College. In 1966, the institution became Rend Lake College under the Illinois Junior College Act. Recognized as one of the top 150 community colleges in the nation, the college has been providing top tier educational services from its inception to present day. An instructor with over 30 years of experience, Cindy has been teaching at Rend Lake College for 16 years. Specializing in primary, secondary and higher education, her main area of expertise is business mathematics and she holds a true passion for educating her students in preparation for their futures.

 Furthermore, Cindy maintains affiliation with the International Women’s Leadership Association, Illinois Mathematical Association of Community Colleges and the Christ View Christian Church. On a local level, Cindy partakes in providing student scholarships in memory of her father, Clifton Caldwell. An alumni of Rend Lake College, Cindy began her educational career with an Associate of Science in Mathematics. She then went on to complete her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics at McKendry College and Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.
