Veronica J. King

 Veronica J. King SPHR, is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Food and Beverage. Veronica is the Senior Director, Human Resources with Blount Fine Foods.

Veronica has had many roles in manufacturing, starting on the production floor and working into progressively more responsible positions over her career.

 She has developed unique insights into business from her multiple roles, developing a well-rounded perspective of food manufacturing and distribution and those doing this challenging work. Coming from a blue collar background, she states that her collar is “powder blue,” thankful for the work ethic she learned from her hard working parents. Veronica has been with Blount Fine Foods for 18 years, hired as Director of Logistics, then promoted into her role as Head of Human Resources.

In this position for 13 years, Veronica is responsible for collaborating with executives and the management team to develop and implement corporate HR strategies. Specializing in compensation and benefit plan design, employee engagement, performance management, leadership development, workshop facilitation and more. She has managed a number of acquisitions, successfully on-boarding teams of employees with excitement ensuring not only the employee’s success but meeting the business demands. Veronica flourishes in her role as Senior Director for Human Resources. A member of SHRM, NEEBC and AIM, Veronica was recognized as an NAPW VIP Woman of The Year.

For a number of years she served on the Business Council of the South Coast Hospital Group, her last role as Chair of the “Laughter is the Best Medicine” fund raising event for the South Coast Center for Cancer Care. Outside of work, Veronica enjoys time with family and friends, gardening and yard work, walks on the beach and in the woods, as well as involvement in her faith community. She attends First Baptist Church where she in involved with »the Sisterhood an encouraging supportive Women’s group, she has also served as Moderator, Deacon, and as Director of the Sunday School program and Vacation Bible School programs. She is also a supporter of Teen Challenge a program of faith based recovery, Compassion International, Rhode Trip and St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
