Barbara Shimasakiis is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in recognition of her contributions
to the Design field in recognition of her role as President of Barking Dogs Art and Design, Inc. Shimasaki’s professional title is President and Creative Director at Barking Dogs Art and Design, Inc., a digital consulting and design firm.
She brings over 30 years of career experience to her role and offers digital strategy and marketing communication design, utilizing expertise in leadership, communication, creative direction, and project leadership. “We specialize in communication design that moves the needle with clarity, impact and relevance,” Shimasaki said. “We work with our customers to understand their goals and help them translate them into impactful, measurable solutions online and in print.”
Throughout the course of her education, Shimasaki earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Print Making from Tyler School of Art. A life-long learner, she continues to update her design, business and technical skill set at the School of Visual Arts, General Assembly, and uGurus.com. To further her professional development, Shimasaki is a member of the National Association of Professional Women among other networking and business support groups.
Before forming her own company over 30 years ago, she worked at several sales promotion agencies including FCB Leber Katz Partners, NY, where she was Group Creative Director. When not working, Shimasaki enjoys cycling and participating in triathlons. She has devoted her time to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program as a marathon coach where she established a run/walk program suitable for novice athletes and cancer survivors seeking a marathon challenge.
