Amy E. McLaughry

Amy E. McLaughry is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in recognition of her contributions to the field of Bookkeeping. McLaughry is the Owner of ADEM Enterprises, a bookkeeping service provider that specializes in virtual bookkeeping for nonprofits. “I started ADEM Bookkeeping to provide virtual bookkeeping services to Nonprofit Organizations,” McLaughry said. “My mission is to help with the financial reporting requirements that your Donors, your Board and the public want to see.” Prior to opening ADEM Enterprises, McLaughry worked as a Senior Vice President and Loan Officer with FirstBank. “I provided a personalized approach to help customers through the process [of real estate acquisition] efficiently, with underwriting flexibility and access to the decision maker to provide prompt responses and solutions,” she said.

Regarding the decision to open her own bookkeeping business, “The last couple of years have been such a rewarding experience doing a very different kind of work,” McLaughry said. “I have found that my passion for numbers and helping others is still as strong as ever.” McLaughry holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Kansas and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix. She also holds certifications as a QuickBooks Online Certified ProAdvisor and is a Xero Certified Advisor. To further her professional development, she is a member of ICB and the National Association of Professional Women.

When not working, McLaughry serves as the Treasurer of the Community College of Aurora Foundation. She has held other positions within the organization including Board President, Interim Executive Director, and Audit Committee Chair. She has previously volunteered with Junior Achievement USA as well as Operation Hope, and has volunteered in numerous positions with Good Shepherd Episcopal Church for the past 39 years.
