Karen K. Lockyer

Karen K. Lockyer is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Professional in the field of Education. Lockyer is currently a Professor at Lewis University, an educational institution located in Romeoville, Illinois, where she has held both administrative and leadership roles for the past 40 years. She was formerly the Chair of the Sport & Exercise Science Department of the university and served as Lewis’ Senior Woman Administrator. After performing teaching and coaching roles, Lockyer decided that she could better help students by being a part of the university’s administrative department, although she claims that teaching and coaching will always be her passions.

Additionally, she has been a part of many local and state education committees, including serving on the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship Committee, Division II Regional Ranking/Selection Committee for Women’s Volleyball, American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Region Selection Committee, and the Great Lakes Region Advisory Committee. Lockyer earned both her Master of Education in Education Administration, and her Master of Science in Health Education, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Additionally, during her time as an NCAA Volleyball Coach, she was named the fifth most-winning coach in the country for Women’s Volleyball.

Although she will remain affiliated with Lewis University as a Professor, Lockyer has very recently stepped down from her administrative roles in order to pursue life coaching and motivational speaking. When she is not working, Lockyer enjoys boating, gardening, and playing Pickleball.
