Patty A. Kelly

Patty A. Kelly is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member as a result of her role as Owner of the Lazy VC Kelly Ranch Inc. A family owned and operated ranch since 1894, Lazy VC Kelly Ranch Inc. is home to various rams, dogs, sheep, cattle and horses.

The Kelly Ranch has made many innovations in the agricultural front, with cutting edge equipment in an effort to assist in “improving rangeland, creating wildlife habitat, and energy conservation.” In addition, the ranch facilitates in, “building a productive and profitable sheep operation.”

The owner implemented a “rotational grazing systems, an extensive water system, and has increased hay land production” in an effort to improve the ranch land. Kelly has been involved with the ranch since she was born in 1943. She took official control of the ranch after the death of her parents in 1985. Throughout her career, Kelly was a certified teacher for thirty years.

In addition, Kelly has experience working at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance for ten years. Specializing in administration as well as land and ranch management and operations, Kelly has taken the business by the reins and has successfully expanded the ranch on her own with the help of her team of herders from Peru. In an effort to improve the agricultural frontier, Kelly is an affiliate of the 2012 Conservation Stewardship Program and the 2013 Tree Grant Program. Kelly is Dedicating this recognition to her parents, Merle and Cora A. Kelly as well as in loving memory of her grandfather, Jack Kelly, the founder of the ranch.
