Noor F. Pinna, MS, LMHC

Noor F. Pinna, M.S., LMHC, is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional Member in the field of Physical Therapy. Pinna serves as a Mental Health Therapist out of her own practice, Noor Pinna Therapy, which provides counseling services to its clients. She utilizes her expertise in the areas of therapy and counseling tailored to individuals, families and adolescents. “I am an immigrant from Pakistan who moved to the United States when I was young,” Pinna said. “Most people think third world countries are lacking in resources and education.

We are much more! Unfortunate circumstances brought me here, but I am glad because I get to meet people in my own way, and enrich the fabric of this society. I believe in leaving this place better than how I found it.” Prior to starting her practice, Pinna worked as an Independent Mental Health Consultant in Kabul, Afghanistan. She then started working as a Family Support Specialist at Access: Supports for Living, where she still practices today.

Additionally, Pinna worked as a Mental Health Counselor for Talkspace, an online therapy website, and serves as an adjunct professor at Mount St. Mary’s College. Pinna earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with Art Therapy from Fordham University in 2005, graduating with a 3.0 GPA. She then went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Psychology – with a specialization in Counseling – from Capella University, graduating in 2011 with a 3.9 GPA. She is fluent in Urdu and Farsi as well as English.

To further her professional development, Pinna is a member of ACA and the National Association of Professional Women. She also previously served as a volunteer with the U.S. Afghan Women’s Council. When not working, Pinna enjoys reading, hiking, cooking cultural food, art, travel and going to the movies. She dedicates this recognition to her husband, John Pinna and to her mom, Urooj Fatima.
