Christal Achord, R.N., M.S.N., CLNC, is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the field of Healthcare. Achord Consulting seeks out in, “helping improve the quality of healthcare, one case at a time.” The consulting company “performs medical record research, and investigates to determine whether or not a case has merit.” The company is able to analyze & compare expert witness reports & other work products, assess the alleged damages and/or injuries & identify factors that caused or contributed to the alleged damages and/or injuries, assist in exhibit preparation and alternative dispute resolution, such as arbitration & mediation, attend depositions, trials, review panels & arbitration and/or mediation hearings, coordinate & assist in facilitating focus groups & mock trials, coordinate & attend independent medical examinations (IMEs) and more.

As the Owner and Founder of Achord Consulting, LLC, Achord’s expertise lies in the areas of healthcare administration, leadership, managed care operations, general medicine and pediatrics. In addition, she also specializes in legal nurse consulting and utilization management. Well-versed in Medicare, Medicaid, EMR, HIPAA, ACLS, BLS, patient safety and overall healthcare provider relations, Achord possesses non-medically related skills, including social media, customer service, billing and marketing. “I am a highly trained R.N. with strong clinical abilities and successful career in primary care, acute care and managed care organizations,” Achord said. “I am proactive and organized, with a compassionate commitment to improving healthcare.” Throughout the course of her education, Achord obtained her RN and Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Southeastern Louisiana University.

She then went on to earn her Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Our Lady of the Lake University, and her Certification to practice as a Legal Nurse Consultant (CLNC) through the Vickie Milazzo Institute. She is licensed to practice nursing in the state of Louisiana, but her legal nurse consulting services are available nationwide. To further her professional development, Achord is a member of the American Nurses Association, the American Hippotherapy Association, the National Alliance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants, and the National Association of Professional Women, which honored her as a member of the VIP Women of the Year Circle.

When not working, Achord volunteers her time to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the American Heart Association, the Louisiana Horse Rescue Association, the Thoroughbred Adoption Society and Lifeline Dog Rescue and Transport for Weimaraners. She also enjoys outdoor sports such as horseback riding and golf, boutique modeling for print advertising, and spending time with her family and boyfriend.
