Tamara Abarquez

Tamara Abarquez is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in recognition of her contributions to the field of Healthcare Consulting. Abarquez is the Vice President of T. Abarquez Healthcare Consulting, which specializes in pharmacy compliance, audits, infusions and operations. “I have worked in the healthcare industry for over 25 years, in multiple disciplines including pharmacy, DME and inside insurance companies,” Abarquez said. “I am able to maximize revenue while optimizing operational efficiencies.”

Her strengths lie in the areas of operational efficiencies, revenue optimization and billing compliance. Prior to establishing T. Abarquez Healthcare Consulting, Abarquez managed the billing operations of three different national pharmacies, while servicing over 80,000 customers. She also utilizes expertise in billing compliance and has led a number of teams at different companies. “I have negotiated favorable contract outcomes with GPOs and PSAOs and Independence, while carrying a 96 percent favorable audit outcome rate,” Abarquez said. “I have also worked with startups to build sales teams, operational functionality and billing proficiencies to maximize revenue while positioning for future sales.”

Throughout the course of her education and training, Abarquez earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from California State University – Northridge. She cites Richard Mossor, Vanle Coleman and George Suarez as her professional mentors. When not working, Abarquez volunteers her time to her local children’s hospital as well as the ASPCA and Assisted Living Ventura County. She dedicates this recognition to her mother, Barbara Miller; her two children, Erica and Micah; and to her two grandchildren.
