Bianca J. Sweeten, MD, FAAP

Bianca J. Sweeten, M.D., FAAP, is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the field of Pediatric Healthcare. Comprehensive Medical Associates is a healthcare facility that seeks out in building close relationships with their patients. In an effort to offer their patients the quality care that they deserve, Comprehensive Medical seeks out in building, “life-long relationships between our staff and our patients by consistently providing our patients with compassion, excellence and value.”

The staff is committed to “improving the lives of the children [they] serve,” “listening to [our] young patients” and “continually pursuing excellence at all levels through continuing education.” Amassing over sixteen years of experience in her role as Pediatrician at Comprehensive Medical Associates, Dr. Sweeten believes that, “Children don’t have a voice.” Because of this, Dr. Sweeten believes in the importance of acting as “a liaison for the child to the parents, school and the world.”

With prior experience at the Methodist/Lebonheur Healthcare System, Baptist Hospital and the Lebonheur Urgent Care, Dr. Sweeten has attained many skills throughout the years. Her area of expertise lies in the areas of healthcare management, clinical research, healthcare information, hospitals and medical education, aside from general pediatrics. “The key to my success is to understand the environment,” Dr. Sweeten said. “I also stay humble before the Lord.” Dr. Sweeten earned her Bachelor’s degree from Tennessee State University before earning her Medical degree from the University Of Tennessee College Of Medicine.

 

She then completed her pediatric residency at Louisiana State University, and is Board Certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics. To further her professional development, Dr. Sweeten is a member of the Memphis Chapter of The Links, Inc., MIFA, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and the Bluff City Medical Society. When not working, she volunteers her time to the Brown Missionary Baptist Church, and enjoys traveling, swimming, going to the beach and learning how to scuba dive.
