Daniel J. Wunder, M.D., is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the field of Radiology at Premier Radiology. Premier Radiology is the largest outpatient diagnostic imaging network in Tennessee. The esteemed network is a joint venture of Saint Thomas Health and Advanced Diagnostic Imaging, providing 14 diagnostic imaging locations throughout central Tennessee.
The organization is committed to providing compassionate, convenient, state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging and interventional services at reasonable prices. Their skilled technical staff also takes pride in offering each patient a welcoming environment, and services provided by board certified radiologists. Chief of the Vascular and Interventional Division of Premier Radiology, Dr. Wunder has held his current position as Interventional Radiologist for the past 16 years and utilizes his expertise in all facets of radiology.
Board certified in Diagnostic, Vascular and Interventional Radiology, his training and experience of over two decades of patient care and management has contributed to the well being of several patients throughout the years. Prior to completing his Medical degree from the Sanford School of Medicine at the University of South Dakota, Dr. Wunder earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a University Scholar distinction from the University of South Dakota. He subsequently completed his fellowship in Interventional Radiology at the University of Tennessee at Memphis, and was later certified in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. In 2016, Dr. Wunder earned the Top Doctor Award.
He attributes his success to his perseverance, hard work, attention to detail and care delivered with compassion. His advice to those entering the field is to treat each patient as you would like to be treated if you were a patient and listen. He cites his father, James Wunder, MD, as his mentor. When he is not working, Dr. Wunder enjoys fly fishing, beekeeping and farming. He has earned the distinction of Master Gardener and with his wife Melinda, manage a 30 acre farm, where they raise zebus (miniature cows), dwarf dairy goats, horses and chickens.
