The recipient of a Star Award and a Voluntary Service Award from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Dr. Chong’s advice to young physicians entering the field is: “It’s a long path. You have to study a lot and you will be a Doctor’s Doctor.” A member of the Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Society and the Internal Association of Radiologists, Dr. Chong authored an article in the Journal of Palliative Medicine entitled “Types And Rate of Implementation of Palliative Care Team Recommendations For Care of Hospitalized Veterans” in 2004.
