Pamela W. Coleman, MD, FACS, FPMRS

Pamela W. Coleman, M.D., F.A.C.S., F.P.M.R.S., is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional of the Year in the Medical field. Dr. Coleman serves as a Urologist, Surgeon and Associate Professor of Urology at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. She has been in practice for more than 30 years, since 1986, and has worked in her current role for the past seven years.

“Over the course of its 145-year history of providing the finest primary, secondary and tertiary health care services, Howard University Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center, has become one of the most comprehensive health care facilities in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area,” the hospital’s website states. Dr. Coleman earned her Medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine.

To further her professional development, she is a member of the International Association of Healthcare Professionals (Leading Physicians of the World), the National Medical Association, the American Urogynecologic Society and the Society of Women in Urology. “I attribute my success to my mother, who was a pioneer in the field,” Dr. Coleman said. When not working, Dr. Coleman volunteers her time to Hope for Children, ACA, St. Thomas Apostle Church and Annunciation Catholic Church. She also enjoys exercising and running in triathlons, and is qualified for IMAN in Kona, Hawaii. Dr. Coleman dedicates this recognition to her mother, A.
