Dr. Veronica Gillispie

Dr. Veronica Gillispie is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Gillispie is currently a practicing OB/Gyn doctor at Ochsner Baptist Women’s Pavilion through the Ochsner Health System. The pavilion is an all-in-one healthcare facility that provide patient care for women of all ages. Gillispie has been practicing with this medical organization for over eight years, and some of her previous roles at the organization include: Associate Residency Program Director, Medical Student Clerkship Director, Medical Director of the Minimally Invasive Center for the Treatment of Uterine Fibroids, and Director of Quality for Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Her professional expertise consists of gynecologic robotic surgery. She is also board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). Inspired to go into OB/Gyn when she was a little girl in Meridan, Mississippi, Gillispie’s gynecologist encouraged her to go into the profession of OB/Gyn and let her shadow him at a C-section. Prior to that, she wanted to be a pediatrician. Gillispie is also very involved in her community, in her spare time she volunteers with the Holistic Health Ministry at the Franklin Avenue Church.

After attaining her B.S. in Biology from Xavier University of Louisiana in 2000, Gillispie went on to obtain her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Meharry Medical College in 2004. In addition, she completed her Residency and Internship at Oschner Medical Center. In regards to the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Gillispie claims that, “this is a wonderful field, and you have life-long relationships with your patients and their children.” She attributes her success to her faith in God, and dedicates this recognition to, God and her parents, Catherine N.
