Linda Dixon is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the fields of Mental Health and Special Education as a result of her role as a Psychologist at the Arlington Central School District. Dixon has worked in the field of Psychology and Mental Health for over 35 years.
Her position requires her to work with school staff and social workers, and her professional focus includes special education support, crisis intervention, and behavior analysis. She also performs consultation for various committees, conducting functional analyses of behavior, and collaborates with families, community, providers, teachers and school administrators. In order to further her professional and personal development, Dixon is affiliated with many prestigious associations and organizations.
She is a member of the National Christian Counselors Association, the American Registry of Outstanding Professionals, and the International Biographic Center. Additionally, Dixon is an Ordained Minister and Commissioned Pastoral Care Counselor through National Conservative Christian Church, and also contributes work to the Ministry of Counseling at Fishkill Church of the Nazarene. After earning her B.A. in Psychology and B.S. in Health from SUNY Brockport, Dixon went on to obtain her Masters in School Psychology and her Masters in School Psychology from Marist College.
She is now currently working towards earning her Doctorate in Christian Counseling from the National Christian Counseling Association. Dixon also coauthored a book of middle school case studies entitled, ‘Empowering Students’. Outside of work, Dixon enjoys spending time with her family, going to the spa, and general fitness. She dedicates this recognition to her parents, Joe and Fran Incoronato; and to Mr. Charles Powers - her mentor, a retired teacher; and to Dana Horowitz, a guidance counselor from John Jay H.S.
