Darla R. Hartung is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Hospitality as a result of her role as Owner of Bruno’s A Taste of Italy. Established since 1987, Bruno’s has served the community for over thirty years. A local favorite and family owned restaurant for over twenty five years, Bruno’s A Taste of Italy has an enticing menu comprised of various pastas, pizzas, flatbreads, soups and salads. Catering to all audiences, the restaurant offers a kids menu, take out options and gift certificates for all occasions. “I purchased it June 1st of 2015,” Hartung says. “The previous owners wanted out and weren’t interested in Bruno’s anymore and I wanted this little restaurant to stay open with its small town feeling. That’s what attracted me to it and food.
The recipes are the previous owners passed down to him. He was Italian, and I got them with the sale. So we have real quality Italian food.” Having had experience n the hospitality business for three decades, Hartung has been the Owner of Bruno’s A Taste of Italy for two years. Specializing in the delivery of first class customer service, it is Hartung’s hope that every customer feels comfortable in her restaurant and enjoys their exquisite delicious meals. Hartung explains that, “My sister, Linda, was a big part of the excursion to find a place like this. It was part of her and my dream.
She was the one that was associated with restaurants. But she passed away in 2007 of Lung Cancer. Same year I got Breast Cancer, which I am still free of. We were very close and never had a cross word to say to each other.” Prior to being a restaurant owner, Hartung worked in the field of Accounting, and did Tax Preparation for a CPA firm. A graduate of Billings Business College with her Associates’ degree, Hartung is a member of the National Restaurant Association, National Association of Professional Women and her Local Chamber of Commerce.
“My husband retired...after 37 years with Power Generation Plants,” Hartung recalls of her husband, Ron. “With his love, faith, and confidence in me I bought Bruno’s. He supports me in every way. He is an important asset in my life and he’s also my best friend.” When Hartung is not working, she maintains her home and spends time with her family, especially her twin grandsons. She dedicates this recognition in loving memory of her sister, Linda. For more information, please visit www.brunosmt.com
