Kathryn Jean Denier

Continental Who’s Who recognizes Kathryn Jean Denier as a Pinnacle Professional Member in recognition of her contributions to the field of Food and Beverage Distribution. At Jim’s Frostie Treats, Denier serves as the President and Owner. She utilizes her expertise in business strategy, community outreach, leadership, promotions, marketing, operations management, team building and training of staff. A staple of its local community, Jim’s Frostie Treats was originally built as a Dairy Queen in 1950. By 1974, the treat shop’s current namesake, Jim Hammond, took over operation with his wife Louise.

The shop’s signature design was designed by Louise in 1974 and by 2000, Dernier, Jim and Louise’s daughter, took over as President and Owner. “With a variety of offerings to choose from, we’re sure you’ll be happy with our menu,” the shop’s website states. “Jim’s Frostie Treats is focused on providing high-quality products and consumer satisfaction – we will do everything we can to meet your expectations.” The menu at Jim’s Frostie Treats includes many selections of the ice cream variety.

The traditional vanilla, chocolate and twist options sit at the top of the list, but a further look into the menu reveals banana splits, multitudes of sundaes topped with the likes of marshmallow fluff, banana and strawberry preserves and peanut butter fudge. The menu goes on to offer 32 different varieties of shakes and 26 “Arctic Flurries.” As far as sweets, the menu is rounded out with a health-conscious “Fitness and Energy” menu. And there’s more than just desserts – guests can purchase hot dogs, hamburgers and soft pretzels with dipping sauce. Dernier studied business at Oakland Community College and has been named as a member of the VIP Women of the Year Circle by the National Association of Professional Women. When not working, she supports the Humane Society and enjoys history, movies, reading and studying ancestry.
