Throughout his career, Ghobadi specializes in the areas of immigration law, family law, bankruptcy, and business law. Before he became a practicing attorney, Ghobadi was a career diplomat for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in his home country of Iran.

 To further his professional development, Ghobadi is affiliated with the District of Columbia Bar Association and Virginia State Bar Association. Throughout the course of his educational career, Ghobadi received his Bachelor of Art and Master of Art degree from the University of Tehran in Iran, his J.D. from George Mason University School of Law, and his Ph.D. from the American University. Additionally, Ghobadi is married with two sons and four grandchildren, and dedicates this recognition to his family.
