John Sharp is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Legal Services as a result of his role as Founding Partner at Strobl & Sharp, P.C. Founded in 1989 by Tom Strobl and John Sharp, Strobl & Sharp, P.C. is a full service law firm practicing in the areas of: business services, creditors’ rights and restructuring, litigation, and estate and succession planning. In the legal field since 1978, Sharp has been in practice at Strobl & Sharp, P.C. for twenty seven years. An AV Rated Attorney by Martindale Hubbell, Sharp works in the areas of business and corporate law, estate and succession planning, guardianships as well as probate, wills and trusts. In addition to practice, Sharp has been teaching as an Adjunct Professor at the Walsh College of Business Law since 2006. Prior to that, he taught at Wayne State University Law School.
Recognized as a 2014 Michigan SuperLawyer in Banking, Sharp is an esteemed member of the Michigan Bar Association (Probate and Estate, Elder Law, Business Law sections) and the Oakland County Bar Association, where he was the Former Chair of the Business Law section. Furthermore, Sharp has served as an author or co-author of numerous articles regarding trustees and IRA accounts, which have been published in the Michigan State Bar Journal.
He has also given presentations on tax law and business law at several tax seminars, as well as Walsh College. Having held high ranking roles throughout his career, presently, Sharp is the President of the Wilshire-Muer Homeowners Association, the Secretary/Treasurer and Past President of BNI Wealth Builders Chapter and a Board Member with the Troy Economic Development Corporation. Sharp is also the Past President and Director of the Kiwanis Club of Troy. Throughout the course of his educational career, Sharp attained his AB with High Distinction from the University of Michigan. He then went on to complete his JD (Cum Laude) at Wayne State University.
