Dohse brings her primary expertise in Appellate Law, and Commercial Litigation, including Oil and Gas litigation, to her role as an attorney at Hoblit Darling Ralls Hernandez & Hudlow, LLP. She has over 25 years of legal experience and joined the team at the firm (then called Chaves Gonzales & Hoblit LLP) in 1997. She took two years off from her role between 2005 and 2007 when she served as a Senior Attorney with the Thirteenth District Court of Appeals.

“My practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, including business disputes in both state and federal courts, and on appellate matters,” Dohse said on her company bio. Dohse earned her Bachelor of Arts with Phi Beta Kappa honors from the University of California at Berkley. She then went on to complete her Juris Doctor with cum laude honors from the University of Houston Law Center, where she also served as the Articles Editor of the Houston Journal of International Law and graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif, Phi Delta Phi and the Order of the Barons. Dohse was admitted to the Texas Bar Association in 1992, and has since been admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Southern, Northern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas, and the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. To further her professional development, Dohse maintains membership to the Texas Bar Foundation, the State Bar Litigation and Appellate Sections, the Corpus Christi Bar Association, the Costal Bend Women Lawyer’s Association (of which she is a former board member) and the former Corpus Christi Chapter of Zonta International (of which she is a former president).

She was also recognized as a Top Rated Lawyer by Texas Woman Leaders in 2015. When not working, Dohse devotes her time to various civic activities, including Friends of the Corpus Christi Library (of which she is a former board member), Bayfest Corpus Christi (as a former committee chairperson of Senior Day), Parkway Presbyterian Church, and she is a past president of the Corpus Christi Symphony Guild. She also enjoys quilting, piano and writing both poetry and fiction. Dohse dedicates this recognition in loving appreciation to her parents, Harold J. and Ruth E. Shellum.
