Zacharias Sundstrom is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional Member in the Legal field. Dr. 
Sundstrom’s professional title is Partner at Nordic Law, which provides legal services for clients in the Helsinki area.
His expertise lies in the areas of corporate law, litigation, dispute resolutions and arbitrations. In addition to English, Dr. Sundstrom speaks Swedish, Finnish, written French and written Italian. “I am the founding partner of Nordic Law,” Dr. Sundstrom said. “I without a doubt can be characterized as the ‘Grand Old Man’ of Finnish corporate law.” Prior to joining the team at Nordic Law, Dr. Sundstrom served as an Associate of Haight, Gardner, Poor and Havens; as well as a Judge on the District Court of Helsinki, Legal Counsel for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, Head Counsel and Adviser for the Government of Lesotho and the European Economic Community, the Commission, Expert.
He has also worked as a Professor of Civil Law and First Professor of European Law at the University of Helsinki, a University Lecturer at the University of Stockholm, a Professor at the University of Stellenbosch, a Professor of International Private Law at the University of Turku and a Professor of Commercial Law at Haile Selassie University in Ethiopia Dr. Sundstrom earned his Master of Law degree from the University of Helsinki. He then went on to complete a Master’s degree in Comparative Law from the University of Chicago, his Juris Doctor also from the University of Helsinki, a Master of Letters degree from the University of Cambridge and a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Eastern Finland.
To further his professional development, Dr. Sundstrom is a member of the Academy of European Law, the European Air Law Association, the International Federation for European Law, the Swedish Maritime Law Association and Juridiska Föreningen i Finland r.f. Eurooppaoikeuden yhdistys ry. When not working, Dr. Sundstrom enjoys flying airplanes, golf and tennis.
