Amy Beichler is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the Animal Rescue field. Beichler is the Executive Director of PAWS Ohio, a nonprofit animal advocacy organization which specializes in rescuing stray and abused pets and companion animals from all over northeast Ohio since 1976. PAWS Ohio is not a shelter; but rather, its team members find foster homes for the animals they rescue until a forever home becomes available. With over 12 years of experience in the field, Beichler oversees approximately 250 volunteers as part of her role.
“Our mission is to rescue stray and abused companion animals all over northeast Ohio,” Beichler said. “We medically care for them, socially work with them, and place them in forever homes.” According to its website, “PAWS Ohio is a no-kill organization considered to be one of Ohio’s most reputable, long-standing cat and dog humane rescue groups.”
The organization is also an advocate of HB60, also known as Goddard’s Law, which increases the penalty for egregious acts of animal cruelty from a misdemeanor on a first offense to a felony. Throughout the course of her education, Beichler attended Cleveland State University, where she studied general business. To further her professional development, she is a member of the National Association of Professional Women, the Society of Animal Welfare Administrators and the Humane Society of the United States. When not working, Beichler enjoys hiking, camping and all other outdoor activities. She dedicates this recognition to her parents, Helen and Richard Beichler, and to her team.
