Karin L. Ciance MS, RN is recognized by Continental Who‘s Who among Health Care Professionals. Karin is an Assistant Adjunct Nursing Professor at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She is also an Adjunct Nursing Professor in the Graduate of Nursing Program at A Worcester State University.
Karin has a vast expertise in the field of Nursing. She is proficient in Urgent Care, Staff Training and Development as well as Falls Prevention. In addition, Karin enjoys sharing her knowledge of the Nursing Profession with others. She is a passionate advocate of the nursing profession and has spoken with more than 300 students in the Worcester Public School System. During her public speaking endeavors, Karin educates students about the field of Nursing.
Karin has received numerous honors for her work in the field of Nursing. She received The James W. Hunt Jr. Community Health and Public Service Scholarship Award from the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers, as well as the Fairlawn Scholar Community Service Award and the Fairlawn Scholar Leadership Award from the Worcester Nursing Pipeline Consortium.
Additionally, Karin was honored with the Massachusetts Nurses Foundation Faulkner Hospital School of Nursing Connie Moore Award.
Karin is a part of the first graduating class of Worcester State College‘s Masters in Community Health Nursing program. She also received her BSN from Worcester State. She is affiliated with Sigma Theta Tau, NAFE, American Nurses Association, and the National League of Nursing.
In addition, Karin is the Executive Director of Greenwood Street Medical Clinic, a free clinic that provides citizens of Worcester with healthcare, social services, immunizations, physicals, and fuel assistance programs.
In the future, Karin hopes to use her sense of humor and positive attitude to make an impact on the lives of many more patients, and to continue to be a knowledgeable source and mentor in the field of Nursing. She also hopes to secure a full time nursing faculty position.
