Laura M. Davis

Laura M. Davis is recognized by Continental Who's Who among Pinnacle Professionals in the field of Architecture. She founded Isthmus Architecture, lnc., an Architectural Firm that specializes in the preservation and restoration of architectural resources throughout the Midwest, and serves as its President and Treasurer. Laura oversees all aspects of her small firm including its business practices and architectural services. In addition, she is extremely competent with hands-on masonry restoration, carpentry work, and general construction.

Laura worked for nine years on the restoration and rehabilitation of the Wisconsin State Capitol building, and in 2001, Isthmus Architecture was chosen to be the Restoration specialist for the Idaho State Capitol working with CSHQA in Boise Idaho. Isthmus Architectures continues to be commissioned to work on numerous small to medium projects at the Wisconsin State Capitol. In addition, Laura is extremely active in the community. She is a member of the Ephraim Historical Foundation, the National Historical Trust for Preservation, AIA, and is a Board of Director (2011-2013) of the Rotary Club Madison. Laura received her BS in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.

In her spare time, Laura enjoys motorcycling, sailing, woodworking, and keeping up with the latest in the world of politics. She lives by her philosophy, “work hard, play hard, and take personal responsibility for your actions."
