Sr. Associate Director of Athletics, Towson University
Nance L. Reed is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional among Higher Education Professionals. Nance is the Sr. Associate Director of Athletics at Towson University.
In her current role, Nance works in the capacity of Internal Operations; Equity Issues; Leadership
Programming; Overseeing Budgets, Facilities, Team Support Services, and Equipment; Compliance; Academic Services; Financial Aid; Student Services; as well as Life Skills and Eligibility.
In addition, Nance has served as the administrative liaison for CATS (Caring Athletes of Towson State),
the student athlete advisory council that was the pre-cursor to PAWS (Proud Athletes Who Serve);
Intercollegiate Athletics sub-Committee for Gender Equity; Competition Committees in both America East and CAA; Gender Equity Committees in the Big South and America East; ECAC Eligibility and Infractions Committee; NCAA Field Hockey Committee (1999-2004) NCAA Championship / Game Management Cabinet (2005-2011); and the NACWAA Nomination Committee.
As a result of her dedication and knowledge, Nance has been awarded with the NAGWS (National Association for Girls and Women in Sports) Pathfinder Award in 2000, as well as the NACWAA I-AA Administrator of the Year in 2003. Furthermore, she received the All American Football Foundation’s Outstanding Senior Associate Athletics Director Award in 2005.
