John W. Kane is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Professional of the Year in Engineering as a result of 37 Years of Excellence in the Electronics Industry representing Pittsburgh, PA. John is a Senior Drives Engineer with Converteam. Converteam is a worldwide specialist in Power Conversion engineering that strives to improve and secure customers' process performance while lowering environmental impact. The Group provides customized solutions built around motors and generators, drives, as well as automation and process controls. Converteam serves industries including Marine (Merchant & Naval), Oil & Gas and Offshore, Renewables (Wind, Wave, Tidal & Solar) and traditional Power Generation. In his current role with Converteam, John is responsible for Electronic Control Devices for Metal Industries, as well as oversight of Steel and Aluminum Mills. Additionally, John is a member of the Association of Iron and Steel Engineers. John earned his BS in Physics from Carnegie Mellon University.
