Dan Cleveland Jr.,Esq.

Dan Cleveland Jr., Esq. is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Law as a result of his role as Partner with Lathrop and Gage LLP. In his current position, Dan works in the areas of Intellectual Property, Licensing, Copyrights, Patents, and Trademarks.

Much of his practice focuses on Intellectual Property and its impact within the fields of Semiconductors, Optics, Biotech, Filtration and Purification Systems, Telecommunications, Flow Metering Equipment and Processes, as well as Mechanical Devices.

Prior to his work with Lathrop and Gage LLP., Dan worked with Duft, Graziano and Forest, P.C., in Boulder, Colorado, where he became Managing Director of the firm from 1994 to 2000. Beginning in 1992, Dan worked as an Associate Attorney for Hovey, Williams, Timmons & Collins, P.C., in Kansas City, Missouri. Before beginning his legal career, Dan served as Senior Engineer for Tenneco Oil Company in Houston, Texas and also worked both as a Reservoir Engineer, Gulf of Mexico Regional Coordinator, and Business Planner for Tenneco Oil Company in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Dan currently holds a “BV” Rating from Martindale-Hubbell and is the Chairman of the Boulder County Patent Bar Section of the Colorado Bar Association. Dan is also a member of the Kansas Bar Association; and was Past Chairman of the Patent Bar Section of The Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association. Furthermore, Dan is affiliated with the International Trademark Association and the American Intellectual Property Association.

Dan earned his J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law, and also holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University. In addition, Dan holds a Degree in Organic and Physical Chemistry from the University of Missouri, Columbia.
