Mr. Goodenow has served as lead counsel in state and federal trial courts as well as courts of appeal in complex and ordinar y business and corporate litigation. He also represents banking and other financial institutions in bankruptcy court. Rew’s areas of practice also include Banking & Finance Law, Lending & Secured Transactions, as well as Business & Commercial Law. In addition to extensive experience successfully negotiating and completing business purchases, sales, and other business transactions, as the principal author of Nevada’s Limited Liability Company Act, and of the treatise Nevada Business Entities, Rew counsels clients in a broad range of complex business, financial and real estate transactions. Rew’s experience and knowledge of Corporate and Business Law has led him to author many published works and become involved as a speaker with various conferences and speaking engagements across the United States.
Currently, Rew holds an AV rating from Mar tindale Hubbell, the highest rating given to Law Professionals. He is also listed in the prestigious, Mountain States Super Lawyers, Business/Corporate. In addition, he serves as the past president of the State Bar of Nevada, and Chairperson of The ABA Journal’s Editorial Board. Rew has also served as Editor in Chief for Business Law Today in addition to his past role as President of the Rotary Club of Reno.
Rew’s vast success in the Law Profession is directly attributed to his philosophy that good transactional lawyers must also know the inside of the courtroom. Rew received his J.D., Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Iowa College of Law, Iowa City, Iowa, 1988, as well as his B.A., Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana, 1985.
